Amokka Crema has been at the heart of our roastery for more than twenty years. It has become a reference point for balance and reliability, the coffee we used to measure our own progress. Over time we refined the sourcing and the roast, but the idea stayed the same. A composed cup that feels familiar and works any time of the day.
The blend is crafted from exceptional quality Arabica coffee from Brazil, Nicaragua, and Ethiopia. Brazil provides the backbone with body, sweetness and a steady chocolate line. Nicaragua adds a creamy texture with gentle fruit. A smaller share from Ethiopia contributes light florals and freshness. We roast to a medium-dark to round out the acidity, keep bitterness restrained, and preserve the flavour, whether you use it for espresso or black coffee.
In the cup, you can expect chocolate, dried fruit and soft nutty notes with calm acidity and a long, sweet finish. It is versatile and consistent by design.
Impact at origin
Through Impact Trade, part of the funds from coffees used in Amokka Crema have supported several long-term projects across three origins. In Brazil, funding has gone toward building a school and an on-site medical clinic that provides essential healthcare to local families and farm workers. In Nicaragua, contributions have supported geo-mapping and qualification for the ACORN CO₂ program, helping farmers capture and trade carbon credits through sustainable practices. In Ethiopia, support has gone to community initiatives like supplying school uniforms to students in Leku, Sidama, helping more children attend school.
